Deliverability & Safety — Protect Your Sender Reputation

Deliverability settings help you protect your sender reputation and ensure your emails reach their destination. Access them from Settings > Deliverability.

When enabled, CloakMetric shows a warning before you send an email from an alias with a Warning health status. This gives you a chance to reconsider before potentially harming your reputation.

  • Toggle: On / Off
  • Default: On

When enabled, CloakMetric prevents you from sending emails from aliases with a Risky health status. This is a safety net to stop emails that are likely to bounce or trigger spam complaints.

  • Default: Off

Set a maximum number of emails that can be sent per alias per day. This prevents any single alias from sending too much volume too quickly, which can trigger spam filters.

  • Recommended range: 50–100 emails/day
  • Default: 50
  1. Start slow. When using a new alias or domain, send small volumes first and increase gradually.
  2. Monitor health scores. Check the Analytics page regularly for warning signs.
  3. Disable risky aliases promptly. Don’t let risky aliases accumulate — deactivate them and create fresh ones.
  4. Use DKIM and SPF. If using a custom domain, ensure all DNS records are properly configured.
  5. Avoid spam-like content. Use clear subject lines, avoid excessive links, and include a way for recipients to unsubscribe.
