Quick Start Guide — Set Up CloakMetric in 2 Minutes
This guide walks you through setting up your account and creating your first email alias.
1. Create Your Account
Section titled “1. Create Your Account”- Go to cloakmetric.com/create-account.
- Enter your name, email address, and password (minimum 8 characters).
- Click Create Account.
- Check your inbox for a verification email and click the confirmation link.
2. Set Up Your Workspace
Section titled “2. Set Up Your Workspace”After verifying your email and logging in, you’ll land on your default workspace. This is where all your aliases, campaigns, and settings live.
3. Configure Your Forwarding Inbox
Section titled “3. Configure Your Forwarding Inbox”Before you can receive emails, tell CloakMetric where to forward them:
- Go to Settings > Inbox.
- Enter your primary email address (the one you want to receive forwarded emails at).
- Click Verify and confirm via the verification email.
- Once verified, forwarding is active.
4. Create a Campaign
Section titled “4. Create a Campaign”Campaigns help you organize aliases by purpose:
- Go to Campaigns in the sidebar.
- Click Create Campaign.
- Enter a name (e.g., “Shopping”, “Newsletters”, “Work”).
- Click Create.
5. Create Your First Alias
Section titled “5. Create Your First Alias”- Go to Aliases in the sidebar.
- Click Create Alias.
- Enter a local part (e.g.,
shopping-amazon) — the full alias will beshopping-amazon@cloakmetric.com. - Select the campaign you just created.
- Click Create.
Your alias is now live.
6. Use Your Alias
Section titled “6. Use Your Alias”- Sign up for a service using your new alias email.
- Receive emails — they’ll be forwarded to your real inbox automatically.
- Reply — your response will be sent from the alias, keeping your real email hidden.
